Nobody told me menopause would be the hardest part of “after”

Built by a cancer survivor for women navigating early and treatment-induced menopause. Because the resources we need didn't exist, so I made them.

You’re not alone in this

Treatment-induced menopause hits differently. The speed, the grief, the “wait, I’m also still recovering from cancer” of it all. Everything out there was built for women in their fifties going through it naturally. Nothing spoke to us.

The 3am wake-ups

Drenched in sweat, lying in the dark, Googling symptoms and finding nothing that actually helps. Wondering if this is just how life is now.

The brain fog

Forgetting words mid-sentence. Losing track of thoughts. Feeling like you’re operating through a haze while everyone expects you to function normally.

The speed of it all

No gradual transition. No "perimenopause journey." Just boom, you're done. Overnight. And nothing prepares you for that velocity.

The grief nobody mentions

Processing cancer and menopause simultaneously. Dealing with a body that changed without asking permission. The loss that comes with all of this.

The generic advice

Every resource assumes you’re in your fifties. Every app treats menopause like a wellness trend. Nothing addresses what we’re actually going through.

Feeling completely alone

Like you’re the only one navigating this specific intersection of cancer recovery and medical menopause. Because the spaces that should exist for us simply don’t.

What PauseKit actually does

Not a generic health app with a menopause tab. The entire thing was built for women navigating early and treatment-induced menopause.

📊

Daily symptom tracking

Track hot flashes, night sweats, brain fog, mood, sleep, and more. With trend charts so you can actually see patterns over time instead of just drowning in symptoms.

💊

Medication & supplement tracker

Keep track of HRT and everything else you’re juggling post-treatment. Because we’re all managing enough bottles to stock a pharmacy.

About Stacey

Producer. Survivor. Builder.

I spent years as an award-winning producer working across film, TV, branded content, and digital. The kind of career where you’re constantly creating, constantly moving between projects and platforms. Most recently, I was at a major health and wellness publication working in the chronic condition space, creating content for people navigating life with ongoing health challenges.

Which is almost painfully ironic now, because I had no idea I was about to become one of them.

Lost my job unexpectedly. Then came the breast cancer diagnosis.

Suddenly all that time I’d spent creating health content? It gave me this sharp, uncomfortable perspective on what people actually need when they’re living with chronic conditions. Not the polished wellness narratives or corporate healthcare speak—just real tools that actually work.

I was forty-one when treatment threw me into medical menopause. No gradual transition, no warning—just overnight, done. And when I went looking for help, for anything built specifically for early or medically-induced menopause? Nothing existed. Everything out there was designed for women in their fifties going through it naturally. None of it spoke to what we’re dealing with: the velocity of it all, the grief nobody warns you about, the weird overlap of “oh right, I’m also still recovering from cancer.”

So I built it myself.

PauseKit exists because I needed it to exist and it didn’t. The whole thing came out of those 3am wake-ups soaked in sweat, Googling desperately and finding nothing useful. I knew from my years making health content what good resources should look like. They just didn’t exist for us yet.

I’m not a corporation with a team and venture funding. Just a survivor who spent years creating content for people with chronic conditions, then became one herself, and built what I wished existed when I was sitting up at 3am feeling completely alone.

If PauseKit helps even one person feel a little less lost in all this—that’s the entire point.
